Meet the Team - Nia Jerwood

With Paris 2024 now just 10 days away, Australian Sailing is proud to continue introducing the Australian Sailing Team members representing our nation at the Games. Sailing the 470 class with crew Conor Nicholas, Nia will contest her second Olympic Games at the end of this month in a slightly different format 470 as it moves to a mixed event. We asked the dual Olympian a couple of questions ahead of Paris 2024.

Breiana Whitehead shows she’s a strong contender for Paris 2024

Breiana Whitehead finished fifth at the Formula Kite World Championships, held over the past six days in Hyeres, France. With three French competitors ahead of her in the standings, Whitehead also achieved the position of third nation and with it a significant boost in confidence for the upcoming Paris 2024 Olympics, which is limited to one entry per nation.

Olympic preparations continue in France for Australian Sailors

Australian sailors are poised to make waves in France in the four two-person disciplines as the Nacra 17 World Championships, 49er, FX and Mixed 470 European Champions take place this week. Sailors are preparing to use the last major event ahead of Paris 2024 to fine tune their skills ahead of the Games.
